Hey all!! I haven’t blogged in about 3 weeks!! So much has happened since then… I will be blogging about the last few weddings soon, but for now, let’s concentrate on what’s been going on in the studio. :)

Fall is usually a pretty busy season for me, so while I have posted a few photos here and there on facebook, I have many more share!

Let’s start out with some newborns… I’ve had 3 in the last couple of weeks, and looking forward to many more to come within the next few months. So far it looks like the coming year will bring in about twice the amount of baby planners that we usually get at the studio, and I can’t wait! What’s my FAVORITE part of this plan you ask? Well, getting to hold, cuddle, and pose these tiny little sweethearts!! I have had the pleasure of photographing 3 boys too!. I have had so many girls in the last couple of years, so it’s a nice change. :) And, as an added bonus, I get some extra practice for my own, (a boy!!) coming in January!  As many of you have recently found out on facebook, I am expecting again. Big brother and sister are really excited, and I can’t wait to take pictures of all three of them together. Many of you have asked about taking newborn photos during the months of December and January, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that I WILL still accept newborns for the plan during these months. However, since we can never really predict when babies decide to come, I will just need your patience if I should need to cancel a session. I will reschedule them as soon as possible though if it comes down to that. So far I don’t think I have any newborns due within the same three weeks that I am, so hopefully it will all go smoothly. Anyway, enough words- let’s see some pictures!!

I’d like to start off by saying, this couple was just a complete JOY to be around!! From the time that my assistant and I had arrived at the bed and breakfast where the bride was getting ready, we were welcomed with smiling faces and warm greetings. Allison told me just how excited she was to have me there, which I found really awesome, because it’s been a LONG and very BUSY summer, and I am starting to get worn out!! LOL. (Although, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job, and I thrive on a crazy schedule!!)  It’s always nice when someone appreciates what you do and takes time to let you know that. I think we can all relate!

The bed and breakfast was an adorable place, and made a great backdrop for some detail shots and pre-ceremony preparation photos. :-)

I also have to say, the bridal party was just as welcoming and such an easy going group!! I don’t think I have had a wedding yet this year that went as smoothly as this one did. We were almost EXACTLY on time for everything! Allison sent me an itinerary of how she hoped the day would pan out, complete with times and places of what she wanted and where. I have a form for the bride and groom to fill out a few weeks before the wedding to make sure I’ve got all the details strait… but before I even got this form to her, she had given me just about all of the information I needed. (I later figured out that I had sent the wrong form… oops! I had sent the contract instead, where the first page asks for some information. But since she was so organized, I didn’t really need to send it again!) I just can’t get over how relaxed and easy to work with the entire bridal party was the whole time! So, a big THANK YOU to everyone involved!!  Both familes were wonderful as well, and it was easy to see just how loved this couple was by everyone. I could tell that they were truely genuine when they said their vows.

Here are a few ceremony pictures… They got married at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Butler, PA. The church was beautiful!

Lastly, here are a few formals taken both outside of the church and at the reception venue in Gibsonia, PA.

I am so excited to share these! I got to the hotel where the girls were getting ready just a little earlier than the bride. When she showed up, she was STUNNING!!! I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED her hair. Her makeup was perfect too. She was beautiful from head to toe, and I could see that it runs in the family, because her sister, the maid of honor, was gorgeous as well. Her daughter, the little flower girl was as cute as can be too! This group was a blast. They were ready to celebrate from the time I showed up. At the reception, the dj had no trouble getting this group to get down on the dance floor! For now, I just have pre-ceremony to post ceremony pics ready to post… But I will definitely have to post some of these reception photos later. I think so far, this has been the single most active group I have had the pleasure of working with this year.

Congrats to you both, Jessica and Andy!! I hope you enjoy these “preview” photos of your special day!

 Introducing, Jill and Kyle! They had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Shadow Lakes Country Club 2 weekends ago. I love working with brides like Jill. She was very laid back and extremely easy to work with! When I arrived she was relaxing upstairs where she would spend some time getting ready before venturing out into the hot weather. Here are a few of my favorite “before the ceremony” photos!

Not only was the bride absolutely gorgeous, the flower girl was just absolutely adorable!! I LOVED her curls!! After the wedding she came up to me and asked me how she did.  I just loved her, I could have definitely taken her home with me. :)

Below is a pre-ceremony picture of the setup on the golf course in front of the water. I was told that this venue does not usually hold outdoor weddings, but it made a PERFECT backdrop for a perfect wedding day!

I always like to include the father and bride walking down the isle in the preview photos… I love seeing and sharing the emotion by both the bride and her father right before that crucial moment when he gives her away.

Finally, the ceremony is over, and the new Mr. and Mrs. walk out! :-)

Ha! i just now noticed that one of the groomsmen weren’t looking in this photo… that’s what happens when you edit hundreds of photos in one night! (And, until about 3am… lol!)  Don’t worry, I’ve got lots more of these handsome men all looking in my direction. :-)

aAnd lastly, the beautiful, newlyweds!! Congrats to Jill and Kyle, and thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful wedding! I hope you both have a long and happy future ahead! :)

Hey everyone! So…this is going to be kind of a random post with some random pictures to share from recent shoots. As much as I’d like to update the blog daily, or even 3-4 times a week, I am just too busy to fit it into my schedule. As crazy as I have felt over this last year and half as a single work at home mom, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My youngest goes kindergarten this year, and I can never get those years back. I don’t regret a single moment spent with them, even though it’s a little difficult to edit between breaking up arguments every five minutes… LOL! :-)   I have realized lately that I actually thrive and work best under pressure. (At least that’s what I tell myself! hehe.)

Anyway, there are a variety of photos to follow, from maternity to senior pictures! Hope you all enjoy :-)

 I just realized I skipped blogging about this wedding!! Anyway, I remember meeting this couple last year, and they seemed so easy going, I just knew this would be a wedding that I would very much enjoy shooting! And, of course it turned out just that way. Everything seemed to flow so well from the time I had arrived to where they were getting ready all the way through to the end. I just LOVED her choice of colors- black and white… very simple and elegant. I *believe* (not 100% sure I remember, lol) that the “getting ready” photos were done at her maid of honor’s home. It just so happened that she decorated her home accordingly with Jennifer’s theme colors, which made my job easy!

When I asked Jennifer for her shoes, she gave me ALL the bridal party’s shoes, which gave me an idea! I love the concept of the first photo, although I do wish I had arranged the brides shoes a little differently. Oh well, it still made for a great photo. ;)

She also had the most beautiful window in her dining room, with curtains that, of course, matched te bride’s colors perfectly… which lead to the next two shots. Although, I thought I had broken the table when I moved it because the leg fell off! haha! That is when the homeowner realized that her table legs were never completely screwed on tight from when she moved in. Hopefully that saved her from future mishaps! Glad I could help……LOL. :-)  Really though, I just adored her sense of decorating and her home was just gorgeous!

Here are a few of my favs of Jennifer preparing for her big journey down the isle!! There is something almost mystical about the “before” pictures, that really show off the bride to be and her blushing beauty.

And of course, here comes the ceremony!

I was s excited to get to take a ride in the limo with the happy couple. This always makes for some fun images! 

And finally, the formals! Although I didn’t include any this time, I WILL be posting some various reception photos in future blogs, as promised. I haven’t shared too many thus far, but sometimes I capture the most fun and tear-jerking images at the reception. Definitely too good not to share! I am making it a priority to start including more in my posts. :)

I had a great time photographing this wedding in Indiana, PA. It was nice to be so close to home for this one. So far this year we have been all over the Pittsburgh area, Ohio, and West Virginia. Soon we will be traveling to Nashville for a wedding! (Which I am soo psyched for!) Anyway, we took most of the bridal party photos on the IUP campus… This bride made sure to leave PLENTY of time for photography, which I LOVED!! We were able to try a little bit of everything…so  I couldn’t choose which ones to blog..so there are about 45 or so photos to share with you all, from getting ready to after the ceremony.

I realized after getting these photos “blog ready”, that I rarely post RECEPTION photos. Since I have no good reason for this besides the fact that I just haven’t gotten to the reception yet when I post these wedding blogs, I have made a promise to myself that I will be posting some very soon with lots of my favorite pictures from different receptions. So, stay tuned, and you will get to see some P-A-R-T-Y photos!!

Ok, on another note,  a many of you know, this year, I have brought along my fiance with me to weddings as my second shooter. I am so proud of his improvement, and I am excited to continue to teach him more and more with each wedding. And, of course, the getting ready photos… I think these are usually my favorite of the whole wedding. I enjoy spending this time with bride as she prepares for one of the biggest days of her life!

And of course, our time spent at IUP! It was definitely a HOTTTT day for photos but well worth it! :)

This family was such a joy to photograph! We did an outdoor session right here in downtown Saltsburg. Chasing after a two year old is a tough thing for any mom, and it can definitely be a challenge for any photographer to pose a child this age. This is why I  like to let the child take the lead, and leave plenty of time for playtime and interaction. This little adventurous boy had fun finding various shells and rocks to throw into the river while his two big brothers were being such sports the whole time!  I just have to mention how impressed I was with their ability to stay focused while we tried to get the littlest one’s attention! :)  All of the boys seemed to really enjoy hanging out by the riverside.

 This couple was great! Everything was all in one place, so the day went very smoothly. Erin has to be one of the easiest going brides I have met thus far. They were so cute together!! Thanks guys, for making my job so easy!

 It’s been such a busy week, catching up on shoots and getting ready for my daughter’s 5th birthday party. So, today, between baking cupcakes, cleaning, playing with the kids, editing photos and running errands, I am finally finding time to update the blog at almost 2 am!! haha! So, needless to say, this one is short and sweet, but I just had to post some of these two beautiful kiddos!!
